Abstract
The invention is focused on the environmental engineering field, wherein the system for treating residual water and sludge combines: unitary operations, biological anaerobic and aerobic processes for obtaining gas and reducing the power consumption in a plant for treating water, generating therefore an integral system for carrying out a sustainable treatment: as this produces the energy required for operating the mechanical equipment. The invention also uses the organic matter of biological sludge, which is generally disposed and highly pollutant after being subjected to a treatment, a thermal treatment being used to reuse the organic matter for generating a higher percentage of biogas. The collection, transport and transformation of biogas must be managed in equipment with special materials and with high yields of energy transformation.
