Abstract

De acuerdo con una modalidad, un fluido de tratamiento que comprende: agua, un formiato y un inhibidor de corrosión, en donde el inhibidor de corrosión es capaz de proporcionar: A) un pH de por lo menos 10 y B) una tasa de corrosión igual a o menor que 4 mus por año, en donde el dióxido de carbono tiene un valor de por lo menos 100 psi (0.7MPa) de la presión total, para un fluido de prueba que consiste esencialmente en: agua, el formiato y el inhibidor de corrosión, y en las mismas proporciones que el fluido de tratamiento, mientras un fluido de prueba sustancialmente idéntico sin el inhibidor de corrosión tiene un pH de menos de 10 y una tasa de corrosión mayor que 4 mils por año bajo las condiciones de prueba. De acuerdo con otra modalidad, el fluido de tratamiento también comprende un inhibidor de incrustación. De acuerdo con otra modalidad, un método para tratar una porción de un pozo que comprende: formar un fluido de tratamiento e introducirlo en el pozo.
