Abstract
Se proporciona un método para convertir calor de una fuente de calor en energía mecánica. El método comprende calentar un fluido de trabajo con el calor suministrado por la fuente de calor; y expandir el fluido de trabajo calentado para bajar la presión del fluido de trabajo y generar energía mecánica a medida que baja la presión del fluido de trabajo. El método se caracteriza por el uso de un fluido de trabajo que comprende HFC-245eb y, opcionalmente, Z-HFO-1336mzz. Además se proporciona un aparato de ciclo de energía que contiene un fluido de trabajo para convertir el calor en energía mecánica. El aparato se caracteriza porque contiene un fluido de trabajo que comprende HFC-245eb y, opcionalmente, Z-HFO-1336mzz. Además se proporciona un fluido de trabajo que comprende HFC-245eb y, opcionalmente, Z-HFO-1336mzz. El fluido de trabajo (i) comprende, además, E-HFO-1336mzz, (ii) tiene una temperatura mayor que su temperatura crítica o (i) y (ii).
