Abstract
Se proporciona un proceso para convertir energía térmica de una fuente de calor en trabajo mecánico o electricidad con el uso de un fluido de trabajo que comprende perfluorohepteno. El proceso comprende calentar un fluido de trabajo con el uso de calor suministrado por la fuente de calor; y expandir el fluido de trabajo calentado para generar trabajo mecánico. Se proporciona, además, un sistema de ciclo de energía orgánico de Rankine que usa un fluido de trabajo que comprende perfluorohepteno. Adicionalmente, se proporciona un método para reemplazar el fluido de trabajo de un sistema de ciclo de energía orgánico de Rankine diseñado y configurado para usar un fluido de trabajo que comprende HFC-245fa con un fluido de trabajo que comprende un perfluorohepteno.
