Abstract
Se describen sistemas y métodos para proporcionar una corriente de medios transmitida desde un sistema de codificación hacia un reproductor de medios ubicado remotamente que solicita segmentos de la corriente de medios. La corriente de medios se codifica en segmentos de acuerdo con un parámetro de codificación. Los datos se obtienen acerca de condiciones de corriente de la red y/o el reproductor de medios, y la codificación de la corriente de medios se ajusta durante la operación para adaptarse a las condiciones de cambio. El índice de codificación se ajusta adecuadamente en respuesta a los cambios en el ancho de banda disponible y/o el tiempo de transmisión de segmento, como sea apropiado.
