Abstract

La invención proporciona un sistema para regular el límite del ancho de banda proporcionado a un dispositivo móvil, que comprende un facilitador de regulación del ancho de banda dispuesto para recibir un requerimiento de un dispositivo móvil para regular el límite del ancho de banda; un delimitador de ancho de banda en comunicación con el facilitador de regulación de ancho de banda; el delimitador de ancho de banda está adaptado para restringir o asignar el ancho de banda disponible en exceso al dispositivo móvil; en donde, al recibir el requerimiento, el facilitador de regulación de ancho de banda procesa el requerimiento y si el requerimiento es procesado exitosamente, regula el ancho de banda proporcionado al dispositivo móvil a través del delimitador de ancho de banda. El sistema puede además estar adaptado para facturar/cargar con base, ya sea en un modelo de pago por tiempo especificado o en un modelo de pago por acción. La invención está convenientemente adecuada para utilizarse en sistemas de telecomunicaciones y no requiere hacer modificaciones en los sistemas de telecomunicaciones existentes.
