Abstract

Un método para modificar una característica de radiación de un emisor excitado (2) y una estructura de capas (1) destinada a tal fin, en el que el emisor (2) es colocado en la cercanía de una estructura de capas (1) que comprende un material metálico, de modo tal que el emisor (2) se acople a un estado superficial de la estructura de capas (1), en particular un polaritón plasmónico superficial, que modifica la característica de radiación del emisor (2), en el que la estructura de capas (1) comprende una capa metálica (3) intercalada entre una capa no metálica de superestrato (4) y una capa no metálica de sustrato (5), en el que por lo menos la capa metálica (3) y la capa de superestrato (4) están separadas por una entrecara lisa (8) con una precisión media cuadrática igual a 1 nanómetro o menor de 1 nanómetro, y en el que la capa metálica (3) tiene un espesor de entre 1/100 y 1/20 con relación a una longitud de onda de emisión (?') del emisor (2).
