Abstract

Un sistema para soportar administración de longitud de onda en una red óptica pasiva (PON), que comprende una terminal de línea óptica (OLT) configurada para enviar una asignación de longitud de onda para comunicaciones de unidad de red óptica (ONU) con base en una capacidad de sintonizabilidad de longitud de onda, y una ONU acoplada a la OLT y configurada para enviar la capacidad de sintonizabilidad de longitud de onda a la OLT, en donde la asignación de longitud de onda y la capacidad de sintonizabilidad de longitud de onda son enviadas en mensajes de control de acceso de medios (MAC) También se divulga un aparato de una OLT para soportar administración de longitud de onda, que comprende uno o más componentes configurados para acoplarse a una ONU e intercambiar una asignación de longitud de onda para transmisión con la ONU con base en una sintonizabilidad de longitud de onda de la ONU, en donde la indicación de longitud de onda y la sintonizabilidad de longitud de onda se intercambian por medio de tramas de capa de MAC.
