Abstract

Un sistema y método para enfriar un motor de combustión interna, en una modalidad de la invención, se describe un sistema de enfriamiento para un motor de combustión interna, que comprende un motor; un inter-enfriador para recibir aire de combustión de un turbocompresor, el inter-enfriador comprende un intercambiador de calor de aire a líquido para intercambiar calor entre el aire de combustión y un refrigerante líquido; un radiador de inter-enfriador; al menos un radiador de refrigerante de motor; un tanque de expansión; un ventilador de aceite; y al menos una bomba, en donde el ventilador dedicado se controla por un conmutador de temperatura o controlador en donde al menos un radiador del refrigerante de motor y el radiador de inter-enfriador se ubican en lados opuestos del motor.
