Abstract
La salida máxima de una matriz de fuentes sísmicas se puede reducir activando las fuentes sísmicas individuales dentro de esta matriz de fuentes sísmicas en un diseño que se extiende en el tiempo en lugar de la activación simultánea convencional empleada actualmente de un gran número de fuentes sísmicas individuales. Se revelan métodos que toman datos disparados con fuentes diseñadas y pueden usar un método de inversión escasa para crear datos con la misma calidad de imagen que aquella de las fuentes convencionales. De esta manera, la salida del impulso máximo de una matriz de fuentes sísmicas se puede reducir en un factor de amplitud de 10 en los ejemplos mostrados en la presente, que corresponde a una reducción de 20 dB mientras que mantiene virtualmente la misma calidad de imagen sísmica. Los métodos revelados se pueden usar en combinación con cualquier técnica de abastecimiento simultáneo. Además los métodos revelados se pueden usar con una pluralidad de matrices de fuentes.
