Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a una composición farmacéutica para tratar la diabetes y sus complicaciones, que contiene un extracto de Quamoclit angulata, y más particularmente a un extracto de Quamoclit angulata, a una composición farmacéutica para prevenir o tratar la diabetes y sus complicaciones, una composición farmacéutica para prevenir o retardar el envejecimiento, y una composición farmacéutica para prevenir o tratar el cáncer, que contiene el extracto de Quamoclit angulata. Las composiciones de la invención muestran excelentes efectos sobre la disminución de la glucosa sanguínea, la promoción de la secreción de insulina, la reducción de la proteinuria, y la reducción de la opacidad lenticular. De este modo, las composiciones farmacéuticas tienen excelentes efectos sobre la prevención o el tratamiento de la diabetes y sus complicaciones.
