Abstract
La presente invención se relaciona con la recuperación de energía en la fabricación de ácido sulfúrico y, más particularmente, con la recuperación mejorada de energía a partir de la absorción de SO3 húmedo en ácido sulfúrico. La presente invención está dirigida, además, a controlar la formación de neblina durante la absorción de SO3 y el contenido de neblina de ácido sulfúrico de la corriente de gas que sale de la etapa de absorción de SO3 en un proceso en donde la energía de absorción de SO3 se recupera del ácido de absorción en forma útil.
