Abstract

Composiciones espumables, basadas en aceites esenciales naturales compatibles ambientalmente, pueden ser usadas como sustancias anti-microbianas. Las composiciones espumables contienen aceite esencial de tomillo como el único o el principal agente anti-microbiano. Las composiciones espumables son aplicadas tópicamente y pueden ser usadas como preventivas o terapéuticas. Las composiciones espumables antimicrobianas son altamente eficientes contra Staphylococcus aureus resistentes a la meticilina (MRSA, siglas del inglés, Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus).
