Abstract
Una capa absorbente de un recubrimiento low-E se dise?e para causar que el recubrimiento tenga un color m?s azulado en un ?ngulo de observaci?n normal y/o en ciertos ?ngulos de observaci?n fuera del eje. En ciertas modalidades ejemplares, la capa absorbente met?lica o sustancialmente met?lica (por ejemplo NiCr) se localiza en la secci?n intermedia del apilamiento de capas y se ha descubierto que proporciona inesperadamente un color reflectante del lado del vidrio azulado, deseable para el art?culo recubierto en ciertos ?ngulos de observaci?n fuera del eje (por ejemplo en un ?ngulo de observaci?n fuera del eje de 45 grados). En ciertas modalidades ejemplares, la capa absorbente se proporciona entre la primera y segunda capas inclusivas o basadas en nitruro a fin de reducir o impedir la oxidaci?n de la misma durante el tratamiento t?rmico permitiendo en consecuencia que se logre una coloraci?n predecible despu?s del tratamiento t?rmico. Los art?culos recubiertos de acuerdo con ciertas modalidades ejemplares de esta invenci?n se pueden utilizar en el contexto de unidades de ventana de vidrio aislante (IG), ventanas de veh?culos, otros tipos de ventanas o en cualquier otra aplicaci?n adecuada.
