Abstract

Sistema y método para procesar datos a través de una red de telecomunicaciones, como, por ejemplo, entre un iniciador de llamada y un receptor de llamada, incluyendo la red una pluralidad de uniones que interconectan una variedad de rutas de comunicación, siendo al menos alguna de ellas monitoreadas para recoger ciertos parámetros que reflejan la calidad de servicio con respecto a la transferencia de datos a través de las rutas. El método incluye las etapas de establecer una selección de dichos parámetros, asignar una calificación cuantitativa a cada parámetro, almacenar los parámetros de calificación en una base de datos, comparar los parámetros recogidos a lo largo de dos o más rutas a través de las cuales la comunicación está disponible contra dichos parámetros almacenados, determinar por medio de un software designado la ruta que proporciona la combinación más favorable de dichos parámetros, y encaminar la transferencia de datos a través de dicha ruta determinada. El monitoreo puede ser constante, mientras que el muestreo de los parámetros es intermitente.
