Abstract
Las APIs discutidas aquí promueven interoperabilidad eficiente y a tiempo entre componentes de hardware y de software dentro de las tuberías de procesamiento de medios de los reproductores de contenido de medios. Una API de Estructura de Datos de Memoria Física facilita un acceso directo del componente de hardware a la información dentro de una memoria utilizada por un componente de software, para permitir que el componente de hardware utilice técnicas de acceso de memoria directa para obtener los contenidos de la memoria, en lugar de utilizar ciclos de procesador para ejecutar comandos de copia. La API de Estructuras de Datos de Memoria Física expone uno o más campos de las estructuras de datos asociadas con las unidades del contenido de medios almacenado en una memoria utilizada por un componente de software, y los campos expuestos almacenan información sobre las propiedades físicas de las ubicaciones de memoria de las unidades del contenido de medios.
