Abstract

En un primer aspecto de la presente invención, se proporciona una composición de polímeros que comprende: (i) uno o más polímeros de múltiples etapas, que incluyen: (a) un polímero de primera etapa, que tiene una temperatura de transición a vidrio (Tg) de 0ºC o menor, (b) un polímero de etapa subsiguiente, que tiene una Tg de 20ºC o mayor, (ii) una o más sales de fosfato de un catión multivalente, y (iii) uno o más fosfatos alcalinos, en la cantidad de 100 ppm o más, medida según el peso del fósforo, basado en el peso en seco de dicho polímero de múltiples etapas. En un segundo aspecto de la presente invención, se proporciona una mezcla, que comprende la composición de polímeros del primer aspecto, descrito anteriormente, y una o más resinas de matriz. En un tercer aspecto de la presente invención, se proporciona un proceso para obtener una composición de polímeros que comprende las etapas de suministrar un látex de polímero de múltiples etapas, coagular dicho látex de polímero de múltiples etapas, mezclar dicho polímero de múltiples etapas con una solución acuosa de un fosfato alcalino, y secar dicho polímero de múltiples etapas a un contenido de agua menor del 1% en peso de agua, con base en el peso seco de dicho polímero de múltiples etapas, en que dicho polímero de múltiples etapas seco comprende 100 ppm o más, con base en el peso seco de dicho polímero de múltiples etapas, de fósforo, el cual está en la forma de un fosfato alcalino.
