Abstract

La presente invención describe un proceso implementado por computadora para generar una función de distribución de reflectancia bidireccional (BRDF) de un material gonioaparente que contiene pigmentos en hojuelas para efecto en un medio sólido usando datos de medición limitados; el proceso comprende las siguientes etapas: (A) obtener e ingresar en un dispositivo informático (1) datos fotométricos y (2) el índice de refracción del medio sólido del material gonioaparente; (B) convertir cualquier dato fotométrico no lineal de la etapa (A) anterior en datos fotométricos lineales; (C) usar el ángulo de iluminación y el ángulo de dispersión reflectante asociados con los datos fotométricos lineales y el índice de refracción del medio para calcular los ángulos de hojuelas para efecto correspondientes; (D) integrar los datos fotométricos lineales y los datos de los ángulos para efecto en una ecuación; (E) calcular el ángulo de hojuela para efecto correspondiente necesario para calcular la BRDF generada en la etapa (F); y (F) generar la BRDF a partir del ángulo de hojuela para efecto correspondiente de la etapa (E) y la ecuación desarrollada en la etapa (D).
