Abstract

En una instalación industrial (1) para la fabricación o el tratamiento de metal líquido, candente o caliente (2, 6), especialmente en una instalación de altos hornos o en un laminador, se ha formado en el entorno directo del metal líquido o candente para un área de seguridad (B1, B2), en el que la presencia de una persona está prohibida al menos temporalmente. Para la supervisión de esta área se dispone de una unidad de detección (10, 12, 14, 16A, 16B), que capta la radiación electromagnética emitida por una persona presente o la falta de radiaciones electromagnéticas emitidas por una persona presente. Además se dispone de una unidad de valoración (22), que mediante datos de salida de la unidad de detección (10, 12, 14, 16A, 16B) reconoce la presencia de una persona; así como una unidad de control (24) que está conectada a la unidad de valoración y que en presencia de una persona en el área relevante para la seguridad (B1) inicia automáticamente una acción efectiva contra la presencia de la persona. Con la formación de varias áreas relevantes para la seguridad (B1, B2, B3) con diferentes niveles de peligro es posible una detección suave de la instalación industrial (1).
