Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un proceso para la preparación de recubrimientos en polvo sobre substratos, que comprende las siguientes etapas de: a) aplicar una composición de recubrimiento en polvo sobre la superficie del substrato que comprende 40 a 90 % de al menos una resma de epoxi que tiene un peso equivalente de epoxi en el intervalo de 1000 a 5,000, 10 hasta 60 % en peso de al menos un agente de reticulación (curado), 0.1 a 15 % en peso de al menos un catalizador de inclusión y 0.01 a 40 % en peso de al menos un constituyente seleccionado del grupo que consiste de aditivos, pigmentos y/o rellenadores convencionales en la tecnología del recubrimiento en polvo, el % en peso basado en el peso de la composición de recubrimiento en polvo, b) fusionar, fundir y hacer que fluyan hacia fuera las partículas de la composición de recubrimiento en polvo bajo una temperatura incrementada hasta un recubrimiento fundido, y c) curar el recubrimiento fundido. La invención proporciona recubrimientos que conducen a recubrimientos en polvo estables de un solo componente que forman recubrimientos de textura lisa y hasta fina y que tienen un flujo mejorado y eliminan la ruptura del borde post-curado y tienen una opacidad, dureza y flexibilidad elevadas.
