Abstract

La presente invencion se refiere a un sistema y una tecnica para calentar electromagneticamente el agua de lastre para matar organismos indeseables. Mas especificamente, la invencion se basa en un novedoso diseno de aplicador (30) el cual se instala facilmente en barcos o se usa en puertos. Este incorpora un arreglo de canales que simultaneamente calientan el agua por medios electromagneticos, y transportan el agua desde el almacenamiento o hacia los tanques de almacenamiento. El aplicador basicamente es un tubo metalico hueco grande (23) que contiene estructuras en forma de guia de onda (31) que sirven para la transportacion y el calentamiento de agua.
