Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a sello anular que comprende: una superficie cilíndrica que tiene un diámetro exterior con indentaciones definidas entre límites axialmente espaciados opuestos sobre la superficie; un labio sellador de material polimérico y de configuración anular presionado con empuje elástico contra la superficie cilíndrica; las indentaciones tienen fondos en forma de platillos que tienen centros de una profundidad máxima de 4 a 12 micras, con respecto al diámetro exterior; cada fondo está rodeado en toda su periferia exterior por indentaciones adyacentes excepto en los límites, las distancias entre los centros de los fondos de las indentaciones adyacentes son tan pequeñas que los fondos de indentaciones adyacentes se juntas en los filos; la velocidad friccional relativa máxima del sello anular contra la superficie cilíndrica es mayor que 20 metros por segundo.
