Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a filtro cerámico para filtrar metales fundidos, con estructura de espuma de celdas abiertas, a base de cerámica de alto punto de fusión, el cual comprende dos superficies de circulación opuestas, que se extienden transversalmente a la dirección de circulación del metal fundido que se va a filtrar y al menos una superficie lateral que se extiende sustancialmente en la dirección de circulación; caracterizado porque la superficie o superficies laterales están provistas en conjunto, en dirección periférica, de una capa cerrada de material refractario con una profundidad de 0.5 a 3mm y las almas libres de las celdas de la estructura de espuma presentes en las superficies de circulación están cerradas por un revestimiento de material refractario.
