Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un iniciador para detonación con tiempo de retardo que consiste de un casquillo metálico tubular principal cerrado en un extremo, una carga básica de explosivos adentro del casquillo principal, una carga cebadora o detonadora adyacente a la carga básica, una carga de retardo adyacente a la carga detonante y un elemento de encendido adyacente a la carga de retardo, caracterizado porque el iniciador además comprende de un casquillo secundario que es de un diámetro más pequeño que el casquillo principal y colocarse de esta forma adentro del casquillo principal para proporcionar un espacio vacío circunferencial, y en donde por lo menos una de las cargas, ya sea la carga básica, la carga detonante y la carga de retardo está contenida adentro del casquillo secundario.
