Abstract
The present invention refers to the process of emptying in lost sponge and under pressure of metal parts, which comprises the following steps: establishing a model of the part to be emptied, formed of a sponge of organic matter covered with a refractory film; immerse said model in a mold formed of dry sand without elasticity; fill the mold with the metal in the molten state to heat the model; evacuate the vapors and liquid residues emitted by the model; allowing the molten metal to solidify to obtain said piece; apply to the mold before the solidified metal fraction exceeds 40 weight percent, a maximum value isostatic pressure between 0.5 and 1.5 MPa; The process is characterized in that the pressure increases with speed depending on the grain size of the sand and the depth of immersion of the model generated quickly and temporarily by the loss of pressure through the level of its interface, this superpressure reaches a value It falls between the two limits and subsequently decreases as the pressure increases thereafter to keep the pressure constant until solidification is complete.
