Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un sistema recolector de saliva que comprende: (a) un envase de espécimen alargado con un extremo abierto y un exremo cerrado; (b) un embudo que tiene una boca y un extremo de descarga; (c) el extremo de descarga del embudo es para acoplar el extremo abierto del envase del espécimen; (d) un protector alargado esencialmente cilíndrico que está montado coaxialmente alrededor del envase del espécimen; (e) el protector está abierto en el extremo superior para recibir y sostener el embudo y abierto en el extremo inferior; (f) una tapa para el extremo abierto del envase del espécimen; (g) roscas de tornillo de cooperación en la tapa y el extremo abierto del envase del espécimen; (h) una abertura en la pared del protector adyacente al extremo inferior abierto del mismo, y colocado a un lado del eje del protector; (i) un medio para retener la tapa en orientación acuñada en el lado del eje del protector diamétricamente opuesto a la abertura, y un medio de retención que retiene las roscas de tornillo de cooperación en la tapa hacia la abertura; y (j) un cierre de base para cerrar el extremo inferior del protector; (k) mediante lo cual la remoción del cierre de base permite que se quite el envase del espécimen del extremo inferior abierto del protector de manera que el protector pueda orientarse para recibir el extremo abierto del envase de espécimen a través de la abertura a fin de que las roscas de tornillo de cooperación puedan fijar la tapa en el extremo abierto del envase del espécimen.
