Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a procedimiento para la producción deiscontinua de L-carnitina por transformación microbiológica de crotonobetaína y/o o-butirobetaína, caracterizado porque a un medio de cultivo que contiene un microorganismo de los generos Pseudomonas, Rhizobium, Agrobacterium, Escherichia coli o una levadura del genero Saccharomyces, se le suministran o-butirobetaína y/o crotonobetaína y también betaína en calida de fuente de C y N y, además una fuente adicional de C y, al alcanzarse la concentración máxima de L-carnitina, esta se separa.
