Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a una fibras celulósicas entrecruzadas e individualizadas, que se caracterizan en que están en una forma materialmente individual y contienen entre 0.5 molra y 3.5 molar de un agente de entrecruzamiento, calculado sobre una base molar de anhidroglucosa de celulosa y que reacciona con las fibras en forma de una ligadura entrecruzada dentro de las fibras; el agente de entrecruzamiento se selecciona del grupo que consta de dialdehidos C2-C8, análogos ácidos de dialdehidos C2-C8 que tienen, cuando menos, un grupo aldehido y oligómeros de dichos dialdehidos y análogos ácidos de dialdehidos; las fibras tienen un valor de retención de agua menor de 60. Un procedimiento para manufacturar fibras celulósicas entrecruzadas e individualizadas, caracterizado en que comprende las etapas que consisten en: a. proporcionar fibras celulósicas; b. poner en contacto a dichas fibras con un agente de entrecruzamiento seleccionado del grupo que consta de dialdehidos C2-C8, análogos ácidos de dialdehidos C2-C8, que tienen cuando menos un grupo aldehido, y oligómeros de dichos dialdehidos y análogos ácidos de dialdehidos y c. hacer que el agente de entrecruzamiento reaccione con las fibras en ausencia material de ligaduras entre las fibras, para formar una ligaduras de entrecrucamiento dentro de las fibras; las fibras se ponen en contacto con una cantidad suficiente del agente de entrecruzamiento, de modo que entre el 0.5 y el 3.5 por ciento molar del agente de entrecruzamiento, calculado en una base molar de anhidroglucosa de celulosa, reaccione con las fibras para formar ligaduras de entrecruzamiento dentro de la s fibras; después del entrecruzamiento, las fibras un valor de retención de agua menor de 60.
