Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a procedimiento para la preparación de polvo mineral inorgánico a partir de un mineral, con la siguiente composición: sulfato de amonio 83.0, l98.0; óxido de aluminio hidrato, A1 (OH)3 7.25 +- 1.5, 17.3; Oxido de magnesio, MgO 1.99*, 4.7; Hierro, Fe 3.33, 7.9; Dióxido de silicio, SiO2 0.62, 1.5; Hidróxido de sodio, NaOH 0.42* 1.0; Hidróxido de potasio, KOH 0.46* 1.1; Agua pura, a 105 grados F,(40.5 grados C) *0.5 H2O 2.53, 6.0; por ciento en peso y partes en peso respectivamente, además calcio, zinc y cobre en trazas, caracterizado el procedimiento por triturar el mineral a un tamaño de malla uniforme y separar los terrones, pulverizar el mineral a un tamiz de -40 (tyler); agregar el mineral fino a un regimen de .363 kg. de mineral por litro de solución de H2SO4 (14 por ciento) y agua (86 por ciento desionizada), opcionalmente con calentamiento, presurización y agitación; suspender el mineral mediante el calentamiento como mínimo a 121 grados C de la mezcla acuosa del mineral, hasta que la "pulpa"toma un color de ante claro, opcionalmente con agitación; enfriar con lo que la pulpa se sedimenta, se deja enfriar y reposar durante la noche; filtrar la pulpa, añadir lentamente hidróxido de amonio con agitación, manteniendo el pH entre 7.5 y 8.0 se deja reposar la solución durante la noche y se filtra de nuevo y seca a 124 grados C.
