Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un cable óptico de fibra que tiene una capa de una composición de polietileno, caracterizado en que la composición de polietileno comprende un polietileno lineal de densidad media que es un copolím ero de etileno y una alfa-olefina de C4 a C10, cuyo copolímero tiene una densidad de 0.928 a 0.940 g/cm3 un índice de fusión de cuando menos 2.5 dg/min. un punto de fusión de 118 a 127 grados C y un peso molecular promedio en peso de 80,000 a 100,000.
