Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a mejora en un instrumendo quirúrgico que tiene una herramienta de acción ultrasónica conectada a una fuente para hacer que la herramienta vibra ultrasónicamente y una tapa que define un conducto de fluido para que fluya fluido a un área de trabajo de dicho instrumento, una porción de un área de trabajo de dicho instrumento que se extiende a dicho conducto, caracterizada porque comprende en combinación con el instrumento un medio obstructor ubicado en dicho conducto de fluido, intermedio a dicha porción de herramienta y la tapa, para impedir la transmisión de energía ultrasónica a través de un fluido en dicho conducto de fluido, dicho medio obstructor compende un casquillo desacoplador ubicado dentro de la tapa alrededor de una porción de dicha herramienta quirúrgica y dentro del conducto de fluido para que fluya el luido de irrigación al sitio de la operación quirúrgica, y dicho casquillo desacoplador incluye una porción de cuerpo de extensión axial ubicada sobre una porción de extensión axial de dicho instrumendo quirúrgico que define por lo menos una apertura en una porción de cuerpo de dicho casquillo desacoplador para permitir la transferencia del fluido de una posición dentro de dicho conducto exterior a dicha pared, a una posición interior de dicha pared dentro de dicho casquillo.
