Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a el método de fabricar cámaras de aire para balones de football americano o similares, que comprende: a) aplicar una capa delgada de una solución de revestimiento a un lado de una película de poliuretano capaz de formarse en cámaras de aire inflables, la película teniendo un grosor de 0.00762 a 0.0304 cm, la solución consistiendo esencialmente de una resina de revestimiento selecta disuelta en un solvente portador orgánico que no disuelva o reaccione con la película de poliuretano, la resina de revestimiento siendo seleccionada de la clase que consiste en polímeros de polivinilideno y copolímeros de cloruro de vinilideno con otros monómeros de vinilo, polímeros de alcohol etilen vinílico y polímeros de poliamida, la solución de revestimiento también conteniendo de 3 a 18 por ciento en peso de un solvente orgánico de ataque miscible con el solvente portador y que es capaz de disolver el poliuretano de la película, la resina estando presente en una concentración de revestimiento; b) evaporar rápidamente el solvente de la solución de revestimiento aplicada; c) opcionalmente repetir los pasos de aplicación y evaporación, si se requiere, el revestimiento seco resultante comprendiendo una capa de resina fundida con la película de poliuretano y teniendo un grosor de 0.00076 a 0.00304 cm; y d) formar la película revestida en cámaras de aire inflables con las capas revestidas en su exterior, con lo cual se proporcionan cámaras de aire de poliuretano de alta retención de aire que resisten a la deslaminación por impactos.
