Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un método para someter a combustión un combustible gaseoso y oxidante, caracterizado porque comprende: (A) inyectar dentro de uan zona de combustión la porción mayor del combustible gaseoso necesaria para la combustión, como al menos una corriente de una velocidad alta V, que es mayor que 5P, en donde P es el porcentaje en volumen de oxígeno en el oxidante, midiéndose V en metros por segundo; (B) inyectar en la zona de combustión, en proximidad al combustible mayor, una porción menor del combustible gaseoso necesario para la combustión, comprendiendo la porción menor cuando menos 1 por ciento del combustible gaseoso total inyectado en la zona de combustión, a una velocidad baja, de menos de 0.5V; (C) inyectar oxidante, que comprende cuando menos 30 por ciento de oxígeno, en la zona de combustión, en proximidad con el combustible menor, para formar una interfase entre el oxidante y el combustible menor, a una velocidad tal que la baja velocidad del combustible menor está dentro de 60.96 m/seg de la velocidad del oxidante en la interfase; (D) someter a combustión el combustible menor con oxidante en la interfase; (E) arrastrar el combustible menor hacia el combustible mayor, a alta velocidad, inmediatamente después de la inyección del combustible mayor dentro de la zona de combustión, y posteriormente arrastrar oxidante hacia el combustible mayor de alta velocidad; y (F) extraer los productos de combustión calientes de la interfase hacia el combustible mayor, de alta velocidad; sirviendo los productos calientes de combustión como fuente continua de ignición para el oxidante y el combustible mayor, y para someter a combustión el oxidante y el combustible mayor, a alta velocidad, en una llama estable.
