Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a unos filamentos de nylon deslustrados que contienen de aproximadamente 0.1 a 5 por ciento por peso de polipropileno que tiene un punto de fusión mayor de 120 grados C, un peso molecular de 2,000 a 40,000 y una viscosidad de 200 a 10,000 cP a 190 grados C; dicho polipropileno está presente en estrías segmentadas, generalmente cilíndricas, que tienen una relación L/D de 1 a 10 y que se extienden en un sentido generalmente paralelo al eje de la fibra. Un procedimiento para producir los filamentos de nylon deslustrado; dicho procedimiento consiste en combinar una fusión de nylon con una proporción comprendida entre aproximadamente 0.1 a 5 por ciento por peso de una fusión de polipropileno que tiene un punto de fusión superior a 120 grados C. un peso molecular de 2.000 a 40.000 y una viscosidad de 200 a 10.000 cP a 190 grados C. para formar una combinación hilar por fusión la combinación; enfriar los filamentos y estirarlos; durante el estirado, la temperatura de los filamentos no debe exceder el punto de ablandamiento de polipropileno.
