Abstract
The invention relates to the field of information technologies and is intended for the identification of material resources, in particular for the application of an individual image on metal articles.The apparatus for applying an individual image by electric discharge includes a hollow cylindrical electrode (1), connected to a low-voltage source (2). The cavity of the electrode (1) communicates with a system for the admission of a current-conducting material in the form of metal powder, provided with a dispenser (3). At the end of the electrode (1), inside it, is fixed with dielectric carriers (5) an acute high-voltage electrode (4), which is connected via a start-up unit (11), a resistor (8) and a discharge capacitor (7) to a high-voltage source (6).The method for applying an individual image by electric discharge consists in feeding through a dispenser (3) into the cavity of the electrode (1) the current-conducting material and heating the electrode (1) up to a temperature by 50..200°C higher than the material melting temperature, which melting forms a drop (9). Application of the individual image on the object (10), located on the side of the open end of the electrode (1), is performed by electric discharge in the space between the electrode (4) and the drop (9), with discharge energy of 5…10 J.
