Abstract

The invention relates to the pipe-line leakage test and permits to increase the determination accuracy of the leaking place by determining the difference in the times of the acoustic signals input from the leak to the receipt point thereof. The acoustic signals are receipted from the leak in two points on the pipe-line surface. In every measurement channel the signals consequently through the amplifier and the shaper are receipted into the shift register. By the help of the shift signal generators is made the delay of the signals in the shift registor. Then the signals are receipted at the AND gate inputs. On the second AND gate inputs of a measurement channel are receipted the signals from the shaper of the other measurement channel. The signals by that coincide with the inputs of that AND gate, to which the difference in the times of the signal receipt is corresponding to the acoustic signal receipt point, which is within the limits of the value of the discrete signal delay step. The modification of the signal delay step is made till the receipt of two contiguous maximums of equal value on the correlated curve. The determination of the leak coordinates is made subject to distance between the receipt points of the acoustic signals, value, the number of the delay steps.
