Abstract
The tobacco variety (Nicotiana tabacum L.) with registrated denomination Barley 320 was obtained by individual selection from hybride population of interspecies crossing of the varieties (Barley 21 × Ostrolist 450 II)×Orgaz.The variety is zoned cultivated in the north of the Republic of Moldova.The variety is midripeness, the growing period from plantation till maturity of the first leaves consists of 50-60 days and 110-115 days for maturity of upper leaves layer. The variety is resistent in the plant period to root rot stem, complex resistance to bronzetop of tomato, tobacco mosaic, potato is Y-virus and tobacco bacteriosis. The mean crop harvest is 22,7 centner/ha. The yield of the best quality commercial brandy is 85%, the tobacco product has a brown colour, a good aromate and a middle strength.
