Abstract

The invention relates to phycobiotechnology, in particular to a process for cultivation of Spirulina platensis cyanobacterium, for use in medicine and food industry.The process, according to the invention, comprises the inoculation of cyanobacterium on a Zarrouk nutrient medium, cultivation for 7 days at the light of 3500 lx and the temperature of 35°C, then on the 8th day 2…4 mg/l of CuSO4•5H2O is added to the medium and the cultivation is carried out for further 3 days at a light of 3.500…5.500 lx.The result consists in increasing the productivity of cyanobacteria and the content of acid exopolysaccharides.
