Abstract

The invention relates to medicine, particularly to otorhinolaryngology.According to the invention it is claimed a device for excision of quadrilateral cartilage of the nasal septum, which includes a handle (1) of a length of 10.5 cm, rigidly connected to a neck (2), made in the form of a rod of a length of 6.5 cm, on the end of which is fixed a blade (3) by means of an axis (4), with the possibility of movement, and the cutting part of the blade has a conical shape.The method for excision of quadrangular cartilage of the nasal septum consists in that under the endoscopic supervision is performed the incision of the mucosa and cartilage, it is removed the mucoperichondrium, it is carried out the transfixing of quadrangular cartilage and is resected the nasal septum using the aforementioned device, and then is restored the mucoperichondrium and is performed the nasal tamponade with hemostatic material.
