The invention relates to a new biologically active substance from the class of steroid glycosides, which can be used in agriculture to increase the yield and quality of tomatoes.It is proposed a new steroid glycoside of the cholestanic series 3-O-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl(1→4)-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl(1→4)-β-D-glucopyranoside-(25R)-5α-cholestane,22-keto,3α,16β,26-triol-[26-O-β-D-glucopyranoside] (rusticoside G1) with the structural formula:where Glc - glucose, Rha - rhamnoseas a compound increasing the yield and quality of tomatoes.
