The material, according to the invention, is composed of reflective particles containing depolystyrene particles with athermal materials having predominantly reflective properties and absorbent particles containing polystyrene particles with athermal materials having predominantly absorbing properties. The material can be used mainly for thermal insulation and, respectively, for the insulation of buildings, as well as the improvement of the acoustic insulation.
