Materialul, conform inventiei, este format din particule reflectoare care contin particule depolistiren cu materiale atermice cu proprietati predominant reflectoare si particule absorbante care contin particule de polistiren cu materiale atermice cu proprietati predominant absorbante. Materialul poate fi utilizat preponderent pentru placi termoizolante si, respectiv, pentru izolarea cladirilor, precum si ameliorarea izolarii acustice.
