Abstract

Rezultatul inventiei consta in majorarea duritatii suprafetelor metalice, in micsorarea rugozitatii suprafetei prelucrate si pastrarea geometriei piesei prelucrate. The invention relates to the methods of electrophysical processing of the materials, in particular to the technologies of hardening the metallic surfaces by means of electrical discharges through short-term impulses. The process of hardening the metal surfaces by means of electric discharges consists of conducting electrical discharges by pulses between the tool electrode, executed in the form of a rotating disc made of electrotechnical graphite, and the workpiece surface, connected to the discharge circuit of the current pulse generator. The current impulses in the interstitial between the electrode-tool and the piece are formed by trains of two impulses, the first of them being of direct polarity with the duration of 150 ... 200 Mys, and the second - of reverse polarity with the duration of 10 times smaller at the same amount of energy released between the electrode - the tool and the piece. The result of the invention consists in increasing the hardness of the metallic surfaces, in reducing the roughness of the processed surface and keeping the geometry of the processed part.
