Abstract

The invention relates to technologies for manufacture of thermoelectric cells, particularly cells used in thermal-to-electric energy conversion devices.The process for increasing the efficiency of the thermoelectric cell consists in its deformation with temperature gradient. As thermoelectric cell it is used a bismuth microwire (1) in glass insulation. The deformation is carried out in longitudinal direction by means of a bronze ring (2), to which, on two opposite sides, there are fixed two textolite plates (4) coated with copper, on which there are welded the ends (3) of the microwire (1).
