Abstract
The invention relates to power engineering, namely to a process for electrolytic production of hydrogen.The process, according to the invention, includes the electrolysis of alkaline solution when applying to the electrodes the constant electric current, in a non-diaphragm electrolyzer, at a current density of 1.0…1.5 A/dm2 and electrode voltage of 1.5…3.0 V, using a cathode with a surface coating of a nickel-rhenium alloy, with a low hydrogen release overtension at a potential of 80…100 mV, and a titanium anode plated with ruthenium dioxide, with an increased oxygen release overtension at a potential of 180…220 mV and separation of oxygen from the hydrogen from the emitted gas stream by the action of a constant magnetic field of an intensity of 2500…3500 Oersted.The result is to increase the efficiency of hydrogen electrolytic production.
