Abstract
The invention refers to agriculture, namely to plant selection and can be used in the selection of drought resistant tomato genotypes.The proposed method for selecting drought resistant tomato genotypes includes collection of completely tripped flowers of each genotype, pollen separation from anthers, cultivation thereof on a nutrient medium for control and on a nutrient medium for test, modeling the drought conditions, determination of pollen viability to the control and to the test by the ratio between the number of germinated pollen-grains and the number of analyzed grains, calculation of pollen resistance indexes by the test to control pollen viability ratio and selection of genotypes having higher resistance indexes.
