Abstract

The variety of apricot-tree (Armeniaca vulgaris Lam.) Kişiniovskii rannii is obtained by crossing the varieties Nikitskii x Ranniaia jardeli, destinated for consumption in industry and fresh, cultivated in all the fruit-growing areas of the Republic of Moldova.The trees have a medium power of growing, with a thick, branchy crown, begin to produce fruits in the 5th year of vegetation. The averade production at the age of 7 consists 31 kg per tree and at the age of 10-71 kg.The variety differs from the others by its considerable resistance to cold and illnesses. the variety is partly self-fertilizing and on pure-varietal plantations bears fruits in exceptionally favourable years. The varieties Falca roşie and Kostiujenskii are the best pollinators. The fruit-ripening is early, from July, 5, to July, 7, the fruits are of medium size ()36 g, oval, a little pressed by side, light-orange, without a pink nuance. The pulp is juicy, sour-sweet, aromatic, tasty. The stone is big, constitutes 7,1% of the whole fruit, is easily detached. The seeds are sweet.
