Inventia se refera la biotehnologie, si anume la un procedeu de obtinere a biomasei cianobacteriei Spirulina platensis si poate fi aplicata in industria farmaceutica, medicina clinica si experimentala. Procedeul, conform inventiei, include inocularea cianobacteriei in cantitate de 0,40...0,45 g/L intr-un mediu nutritiv ce contine, g/L: NaHCO3 - 16,8, K2HPO4 - 0,1, KNO3 - 3,75, NaCl - 1,0, K2SO4 -3,75, CaCl2.6H2O - 0,04, MgSO4.7H2O - 0,7, H3BO3 - 0,00286, MnCl2.4H2O - 0,00181, ZnSO4.7H2O - 0,00022, CuSO4.5H2O - 0,00008, MoO3 - 0,000015, FeSO4.7H2O - 0,024, Fe-EDTA - 0,025, apa - pana la 1 L, la care in prima zi de cultivare se adauga compusul coordinativ [Fe2MgO(C4H3OCOO)3(CH3COO)3(H2O)(C4H8O)] in cantitate de 0,005...0,025 g/L, si cultivarea ei in regim de acumulare in decurs de 6 zile la iluminarea de 3400...4800 lx, temperatura de 31...36°C, pH 9,5...10,0.
