Abstract

Protection of computer programs and databases is acquired by providing each user of the computer program or database package with an external electronic protection device, which should be connected to the user computer. Such external electronic device is used for storage of one part of the program or database code (and/or data) being protected. The part of the code (data) stored into the external electronic device is carried out by its own processor, the performance (transmission) of the code cannot be started prior to the introduction into the external device of a special key-code. The special key-code is created by the program into the computer working memory by cryptographic conversion of casual data, created by the external device and transmitted by it into the computer working memory.The result of the invention consists in creasing the reliability of the computer program and database protection from unauthorized copying thereof.
