Abstract

The invention refers to the glass making industry, especially, to the production of glass container. The problem which the present invention resolves consists in obtaining the green and brown hues container glass of improved water- and alkali resistance, as well as in broadening the glass raw material by utilization of the natural milled basalt as the blend material. Summary of the invention consists in, that the container glass comprising SiO2, Al2O3, Fe2O3, Na2O, K2O, CaO, MgO, FeO, additionally contains TiO2, MnO, Cr2O3 si SO3, in the following componets ratio, mass %: SiO2 - 71,50...73,50; Al2O3 -1,00...2,10; Fe2O3 - 0,20...0,50; Na2O - 12,30...13,50; K2O - 0,01...0,15; CaO -10,00...12,00; MgO - 0,50...1,00; FeO - 0,10...0,33; TiO2 - 0,05...0,20; MnO - 0,01...0,10; Cr2O3 - 0,10...0,25; SO3 - 0,10...0,30. The result of the invention consists in improving the physical and chemical characteristics of the glass for container glass, lowering the power and material consumption and in broadening the raw material base for glass production.
